Our Original Ancestors - Mu and Atlantis
Recent archilogical finds in Mexico, and other places have indicated footprints and other clues from the past that we (as a genus and species) are much older than the academics would have us believe. Indeed, the writings of ancient India, Egpyt, Babylon, Persia, Greece and the Pre-Columbian American Cultures, point to a very distant past. A past when there were giants (Titans), Gods, men of great valor, and societies quite (or more) advanced than our own. Where were these cultutres, and who were these people?
The past as we know it has come down to us by spoken tradition, some artifacts which point to some distant point far beyond our reckoning today, and the writings of some scholarly writers, Plato first amoung them . The following individuals have written extensively on the subject of lost lands, such as Augustus Le Plongeon, H.P. Blavatsky, Ignatius Donnelly, James Churchward, and Plato. They all spoke about lost lands and cultures that sank beneath the seas. They referred to places called Mu, and Atlantis.
In today's Western concept of history and myth, Mu first appeared in print from the author Le Plongeon (1825-1908), who made his own studies and translations of Maya writings and the ruins in the Yucatán peninsula . His translations of the ancient Mayan writings apparently showed that the Maya of Yucatán were older than the later civilizations of both Atlantis and Egypt. What's more, he said that they clearly indicated the existence of an even older continent of Mu (also sometimes called Lamuria), previously located in the mid-Pacific Ocean, which had suffered a catastrophic end due to a shifting of the Earth's magnetic poles. The continent was peopled by the original "human race" and was millions of years old. They were the populaters of Atlantis, and had by the time of its destruction, a very advanced civilization; both technologically and intellectually. The place itself resembled its surviving areas, namely the Pacific Islands of Hawaii, Tahiti and others that form somehow an outline of the lost continent's periphery, giving us today an idea of what the place must have looked like.
James Churchward (1852-1936) continued the investigations and work, going around the world in search of more evidence. He found as much in Egypt, India, Greece and Mexico. He agreed that the Mayan civilization was formed (as was the Cretan, Egyptian and Indian) from the survivors of the great cataclysm.
It seems that the great scientists in Mu had anticipated the demise of the continent and civilization and sent primary colonizers to Atlantis, then a rather deserted area. The Atlantian civilization was modeled after the Mu-ian, but with the loss of contact of the mother civilization, Atlantis took on a character all of its own. Therefore Mu's original thoughts, technologies, and qualities faded slowly with time. The greatness was lost, as usually happens in such historical events.
Plato has postulated that Atlantis too suffered a similar fate as did Mu with a series of earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and tidal waves that finally submerged Atlantis in the same way as Mu. In a similar fashion, the scientists and prophets had encouraged a movement to Crete and Egypt (and Mesopotamia) of the Atlantians. They, according to the legends, were of Semitic appearance and language. Thus the great civilizations of our own recent past were colonies of the greater Atlantis.
So what is the importance of knowing this? Today we search out in space to learn of our origin, when it can be seen here, were we only to look. What are these million year old human footprints in Mexico? Scientists cannot fit this into their thinking, but the clues and evidence is there, and more appearing every day.
There is a legend that soon the top of the great Pyramid in Giza will be found. The top is known as a pyramidon and is said to be buried somewhere near the pyramid, upside down (point down) in the sands. When that is found, it will be as time capsule and reveal the secrets of our own origins and beginnings. For now, if interested one can read Churchward and others.
